Windows 10: Realtek Driver for touch pad loads randomly

I have a Dell 7573 2 in 1 Latitude and one of the updates started making my touchpad not be able to scroll down on any pages. Normally 2 fingers scrolls down or up on a page. I've concluded that it is the driver for the realtek camera that came with my computer that keeps getting removed or something. When it doesn't work the driver is missing and when it works it is there. here are the screenshots. I have to keep installing this driver in order to fix it but I have to do it every other reboot. I need to know how to fix it permanently. Thanks

The touch pad can be disabled by you on the Control Panel of your computer.

Refer the steps below to disable the touchpad on your computer.

• 
  Right click on Start, and then click
  Control Panel.
  
• 
  Click Hardware and Sound.
  
• 
  Click Keyboard.
  
• 
  In the Mouse Properties
  window:
  
  • Click the Device Select tab to disable the touch pad.
  
  • Click the Touch Pad tab to adjust touch pad settings.
  
• 
  Click OK to save the settings and restart the system and check.
  

Try updating the Touchpad drivers from the
manufacturer's website and check if the issue persists.

Follow the steps to update the drivers:

a. Press Windows key + X key and click
Device Manager.

b. Expand the Touchpad tab.

c. Right-click and click on Update driver software.

d. Restart the computer and check.

after upgrading to windows 10 touch key pad is nt responding

Please follow these steps and check if that helps.

Method 1: I suggest you to check the status of touch pad in Device manager.

Press Windows key + X.

Select Device manager.

On your left hand side you may find the list of devices.

Check the status of touch pad there.

Method 2: If the issues persists please uninstall and reinstall the touch keypad driver from its manufacturer website.

Uninstall a driver.

• Click Start, type Device Manager, and press
  Enter.
• Find and double-click touch keypad
• Right-click the device, and click Uninstall.
• Windows will prompt you to confirm the device’s removal. Click OK to remove the driver.
• After the uninstallation is complete, reboot your computer as soon as possible. In a pinch you can use the Windows Device Manager to uninstall troublesome driver.

Down load the latest driver for Windows 10 and install the driver from the system manufacture web site.

 

Touch pad is not working while downloading windows 10.

definitely help you with this issue. Just a few question first to understand the

issue better;

1. What is the make and model of the computer?
2. Does the touch pad freeze randomly or during a particular

process?
I would suggest you to try these steps to see if it resolves the

issue:

Method 1: Run "Hardware and devices "Troubleshooter.
Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with

hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if

the issue is with your touch pad. Refer these steps:

a) Press Windows key +X, select Control panel
b) Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
c) Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the

left panel
d) Run the Hardware and devices troubleshooter

Method 2: Try to Update drivers.
I would also suggest you to check for updated drivers for your touch pad

in the manufacturer’s website.

Method 3: Try to install drivers in Compatibility mode.
If updating the driver didn’t help, then I would suggest you download the

touch pad driver and install it incompatibility mode and check if it

works. Refer to these steps:

a) Right click the driver installation file and select Properties then

tap or click the Compatibility tab.
b) Place a check in the Run this program in compatibility mode.
c) Tap or click the drop down box and select operating system, then tap

or click OK.
d) Try installing the driver and check.
