Windows 10: Realtek Gaming 2.5GbE Family Controller limited to 100 Mbps

Hello friends,Recently I moved to fiber internet for 600mbps, previously I was on 100mpbs. I ran a speed test via the wi-fi from my phone and it showed 500mbps which is normal since its wireless. But when I do speed test on my PC which is connected with Ethernet cable 5E it shows me download speed around 100 mbps and upload speed again around 100 mbps. When I contacted my provider they told me if its shown like that it means that my LAN card is limited to 100mbps and I need to change it. I've tried disabling power saving mode and stuff like that. Tried enabling the speed and duplex to 2.5 gb b

I understand you need help in regards with your network adapter limited only to 100 mbps.

Have you double-check if your network adapter supports Gbps speeds? And in regards with that, may I know the type of Realtek PCIe GBe Family Controller you're using?

You can check that from:

1. Open Device Manager > Expand Network adapters

2. Double-click on Realtek PCIe GBe Family Controller

3. Go to Details tab > Under property drop down, select "Inf section"

4. Provide what is stated in the Value.

 

Ethernet Link Speed at 10 Mbps

• The light coming from the Ethernet port is blinking yellow
  
• On my mother board box it says its a '10/100/1000 Mbps Gaming LAN'
  
• The driver I am using is Realtek PCIe GbE Family Controller (Driver version: 10.54.1111.2021). This is what automatically installed when I uninstalled the driver and restarted

the link speed of this network adaptor is limited to 100 mbps regardless of what i do; ive set the duplex to gbps speeds, im using the correct cable as ive tested it on different devices as well as via an USB adaptor that uses the Realtek USB GbE Family Controller, through which gbps speeds is achieved, i would rather not use this method currently as i require the USB port for peripherals and multiple connections from a hub that isnt externally powered just causes problems for my peripherals.

other things that have also been done, all relevant drivers are installed.

i cant figure out what the issue is
