  1. Realtek HD Audio manager does not have advanced options?

I am trying to split audio streaming into two channels so I can mute my speakers, so when my headphones fall out by accident audio does not start playing aloud. The only way I can find to do this is to access the advanced options in the Realtek HD audio manager but mine does not have it/ I have also tried updating the driver for my laptop from the toshiba website but it still does not have it. Does anyone know another way to do this or how to get this tab in my audio manager? Help is appreciated.

  2. No recording devices listed

Thank you for getting back to us. I suggest to try apply the settings below in Realtek HD Audio Manager:

    1. Launch Realtek HD Audio Manager, click on Device advanced settings.

    2. Make sure to turn on "Multi-Stream" mode.

    3. Check if your built-in microphone is working.

Hope to hear from you soon.

    Regards.

External microphone really quiet (Realtek HD Audio-Manager)

    Hello,

I have a problem with the Realtek HD Audio-Manager. I bought a new headset a few days ago. It is working fine on the Playstation, tablet and on my mobile phone. However on my Notebook it is very quiet.

I plugged it in but the I think the Realtek HD Audio-Manager puts the internal microphone and my external microphone into one microphone array (well, that's what at least is showing in the system settings).

So even though I set every audio setting to maximum, the microphone is still very quiet. I also updated the drivers and reinstalled the Realtek HD Audio-Manager.

Once when I deinstalled the Realtek HD Audio-Manager and I tried the troubleshooting it somehow worked fine for a few seconds. But then it reinstalled Realtek HD-Audio-Manager automatically and the microphone was quiet once again.

Realtek HD Audio manager does not have advanced options?

You may not find a version that will do that. Toshiba, among others, limits options in audio. I have a similar problem with a Toshiba laptop that Toshiba has disabled the Stereo Mix function. No way to get Stereo Mix without a possible third party application.

I've seen different Realtek HD Audio Managers on different motherboards and some have less functions than others, no matter which Realtek driver is used.

  5. Could you possibly recommend me a third party program that might be able to do this?

I have no idea on a 3rd party program.

I don't think getting the drivers from Realtek will make any difference, in this case. For example, on an ASUS motherboard; I've had the Realtek drivers from ASUS and the Realtek driver from Realtek and the Realtek HD Audio Manager stayed exactly the same. Same way with an ASRock and Gigabyte motherboards.
