Windows 10: Realtek Hd audio manager sound effects tab missing suddenly

Hello guys, i hope u having a nice day, so i use the sound effects, the equalizer in the realtek thing for my headphones, it makes them sound better, without it, it just sounds like the sound comes from inside a box, i havent updated my windows for a long time, like more than a year and i decided to update yesterday, i cant remember my last version i think it was 1908 or 1909, but my actual version is now 20H2, and i noticed, my sound tab is missing so i cant use the equalizer, realtek audio console says its not compatible with this system, i used the manager for the eq tho, have been trying to install drivers and stuff,but nothing works, my motherboard is a gigabyte b250-ds3h and the drivers in the gigabyte site are from 2017 and the ones i had, have been trying to look for a solution all day but no luck, hope someone can help me please, thanks a lot, have a nice one

what's the model no# of your Thinkpad, dalchina?

the Realtek sound effects tab may not be available for recent or modern Thinkpads with Realtek audio
what I have in the example in my earlier post was from an old desktop PC (an HP Pavilion m8417c media center from 2008)

now in this example I have the sound effects tab on my father's Toshiba Satellite C55Dt-A laptop (a late 2013 model), along with a DTS tab that launches the DTS Sound enhancement app

Hi, which version of the Realtek driver do you have- HD Audio or UAD?

What you report is common. Do you also have Dolby delivered with Realtek updates? Or Nahmic?

I have one laptop (PC Specialist/Clevo) which has that tab still; the other does not, and nothing I've tried will restore it.

I'm sorry for not responding sooner. I had been sick for several days during the New Year's 2020 holiday dealing with a cold & sore throat (not fun *Sad )

so you are trying to get a Realtek HD audio driver with a Realtek HD audio manager app that has something like this on your Medion P6689 MD61002 computer (which by the way is a laptop, not a desktop PC)?





edit: found the original driver downloads for that Medion laptop PC model from here.

you must completely uninstall whatever existing Realtek audio driver you had with DDU (display driver utility), reboot and clean install an HDA FF00 driver. latest HDA FF00 driver is now v6.0.8865.1.
