Windows 10: realtek is completely gone and i need it back!

The day before Realtek was gone, everything was fine! I shut down and went to sleep- the next morning Realtek was gone. it's not even in the device manager. I searched online, saw other Microsoft posts like mine, and tried to restart, but Realtek was still gone. I saw other posts and tried to download them from any site possible. I thought I had to delete all Realtek stuff then I could download Realtek again, so I deleted the Realtek audio control. I tried to download it again-- nothing. Tried the legacy driver-- it crashed and restarted. could anyone help me get my Realtek back?

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Why did the startup window get cleared?

I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.

I had the realtek error when using the installer, so I did these step and It Worked

1.Go Open up device manager
2. Go under sound,video, and game controllers
3. Find Realtek High Definition Audio
4. Right click and hit update driver
5. Browse my computer for driver software
6. Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer
7. Click Have Disk and hit browse
8. Click on the Realtek HD Audio mod folder and look for win64
9. Click on the HDXRT4 and click ok,
10. Click Next and Yes
After it is done, restart the PC

You should be good then and also make sure before doing these steps that you have driver enforcement disabled.
