Windows 10: Realtek not showing recording device under advanced settings

I've had this problem with my razer kraken headset with sound being played back through the mic. My friend has an identical pare that he had the same problem with. To fix it he simply went into Realtek HD Audo Manager and when to device advance settings and checked "Seperate all input jacks as independent input devices" and bam! NO more sound from his end.

I went to check to see if I could do the same and all I found under device advanced settings was playback devices. No recording devices.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

sound issue with win10 64bit upgrade

Device manage, show hidden devices, uninstall all realtek grayed out drivers.

Go to add remove software in control panel, uninstall realtek drivers, reboot.

Go back in to device manager, show hidden devices, uninstall all realtek drivers.

Restart pc, install the realtek drivers from either gigabyte or realtek.

Restart pc, check for realtek sound manager icon on the taskbar, configure.

Go to windows sound settings; playback, recording and communications, verify

the realtek and windows sound settings match.

 

System sound are playing through my microphone

Because the usb device is not plugged into any realtech inputs it will not show up under the reltech manager, but analog and digital should if anything connected to the realtek device.

Expand the sound and video devices in device manager, anything not in use-grayed out, right click, uninstall, the same for audio-video inputs.

On the default communication device, check if the volume is lowered automaticly.

I know some audio devices need the oem software and or drivers to work, microsoft basic or generic drivers mostly do not work.

Also check the nvidia control panel for how audio is set up.

 

My Realtek HD manager only has the playback too, ASRock Z77 Professional Fatl1ty motherboard. I have the latest Realtek driver.

I used to have an ASUS Z77 motherboard on another desktop and it had a different look and options in the Realtek HD Manager.

If the Razer Kraken headset is USB, it has nothing to do with the PC sound. It is a separate sound device and connects digitally with the PC.

 

It's not usb. I have an asrock z77 as well, Extreme4. Damn. Is there any known fix out there?
