    Realtek sd-card fault after installing Windows Update 20H2, causing blue screen


    As titled.


    After I updated from V1809 to 20H2 in Windows Update for Windows 10 OS, my multi-card reader CAN NOT WORK ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


    When I insert multi-card reader, blue screen shows up and say: thread not handled, error in "RTSTOR.sys" file. WHILE, ALL MY SD-CARD are with realtek CHIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!



    Can Windows stops shipping buggy version, while I can't revert back to Version 1809, ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


    Can someone shows me how to revert back to Version 1809, or is there any bug fix for this? This bug means that all multi-card reader WILL FAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Installing vista on an SD card...

    I am interested in installing vista on to a SD/XD Card. Is there a way to do this? I imagine I could significantly increase my battery life of my laptop by running windows off of the hard drive.

    • What is the make and model of the computer?
    • What is the version of Windows 10 installed on the computer?
    • Did you reinstall the update and the application after resetting the computer to factory settings?


    We need crash dumps in order to know what is causing this issue and suggest the appropriate steps to follow.



    We have sent you a private message, please reply to the message along with the crash dumps. Dump files can be found in C:\Windows/Minidump/*.dmp.



    Meanwhile, I suggest to try with the steps mentioned in the article:
    Troubleshoot blue screen errors and see if it works.

    To check for possible cause of the issue, we suggest that you run Hardware and Devices troubleshooter. To do so, follow the steps below:

    • Press Windows key.
    • Type Troubleshooting.
    • Type Hardware and Sound.
    • Type Hardware and Devices.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions.
    Also, you may update the driver for SD card as well as the Chipset driver from the device manufacturer.

    Let us know how it goes.
