Windows 10: Realtek Sound Drivers

Hello all, I recently built a new pc and I know that everything is compatible, etc. but my sound recently stopped working. My Realtek Sound Driver is getting a (Code 10) The request is not supported even after I've tried every solution in every forum that I can come by. Updating it, reinstalling it (I know even after deleting copies/older versions), etc. will not work. I've tried updating automatically and manually, got the drivers both from the Realtek website and the ASUS website (my motherboard manufacturer) and ensured that those were the correct versions. I've gotten them from the MUC, same results. I've even tried resetting Windows and I can't get it to work. Under System Devices one of my High Definition Audio Controllers has an exclamation point next to it and is getting a Code 10. In Event Viewer I am getting this message:

If anyone has an idea of what this could be an answer that isn't "Go look for new drivers" or "Update your drivers" would be greatly appreciated.

Sound Quality


One thing that sticks out from looking at your "My Computer" specs. You list "ONBOARD 6 CHANNEL (5.1) HIGH DEF AUDIO (AS STANDARD)" which suggests you do not have the correct sound hardware driver. Your motherboard has Realtek sound and the first step is to install the Realtek sound drivers. My ASUS also came with Sonic Studio 2 which is a sound enhancement package. Check the ASUS install disc to see if you have something similar.

May not be a speaker problem.

 

The Ultimate Realtek HD Audio Driver Mod for Windows 10

I had the realtek error when using the installer, so I did these step and It Worked

1.Go Open up device manager
2. Go under sound,video, and game controllers
3. Find Realtek High Definition Audio
4. Right click and hit update driver
5. Browse my computer for driver software
6. Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer
7. Click Have Disk and hit browse
8. Click on the Realtek HD Audio mod folder and look for win64
9. Click on the HDXRT4 and click ok,
10. Click Next and Yes
After it is done, restart the PC

You should be good then and also make sure before doing these steps that you have driver enforcement disabled.

problem with sound. driver 6.0.1.7535 realtek.

in stereo its ok. when i configure in 5.1 there is no sound.

• i clean install many times nothing happend.
• tried older version .7525 same problem
• tried version 8.1 windows .7344 same problem again.
• tried troubleshooter, it says that everything is ok.
