Windows 10: Realtek Sound Problems in Build 10158, 10159 & 10162

As long as it is set in stereo its fine but try to put it in 5.1 or 7.1 it kills the sound. I then have to uninstall the drivers and reload the windows drivers. Realtek audio manager is the same ..as long as it is set for stereo there is sound but change it to 5.1 or 7.1 no sound, any idea's or fixes?

Windows 10 Builds

I upgraded to windows 10 build 10159,then went back to version 10158. Now i'm ready to upgrade again10159, will windows update offer 10159 again or will i have to wait for the next build. I am gettin updates for defender

 

Updating Windows 10 from 10130 to 10162 - Get error 0x80070003 on 'Preparing to Install Updates'

Hello! Recently, I have been attempting to update (probably 10-15 attempts) from build 10130 to 10162 (with 10158 & 10159 attempts prior with the same error), but receive the error codes:

0x80070003

0x80070652

& others that I cant remember from the top of my head

These errors occur during the 'Repairing to Install Updates' stage within the settings app; I typically get to 60-70%, but these errors have occurred as early as 20-30%

I have tried using an ISO for 10159 via the setup utility, but the utility also runs into errors (no error code given) when trying to install.

I ran the Windows Update Diagnostic program; and got the following problems:

Service Registration is missing or corrupt.

My computer that is running Windows 10 (build 0130) is the Asus X401A White laptop.

According to the Category selector; I had to select the Upgrade Reservation section; even though this is an update type question, sorry! :/

 

I have the same problem on realtek and on roccat headphones... Did u find any fix?

 

Check your sample rate under 'advanced' under 'speaker properties'. Try different settings on that. Mine is 24 bit 96000hz.

I had a similar problem, after updating Win 8.1 to build 10074 to 10158.

Going directly from 8.1 to 10158 solved the problem, which hasn't re-appeared since in updating to 10159 and 10162.

After installing build 10166 can confirm the issue has been resolved!
