Windows 10: RealtekR Headset Microphone not being detected on Windows 10 PC

I have a headset that uses RealtekR and it used to work on my desktop, both the microphone and the audio at the same time. Now, out of nowhere, Windows does not detect that the microphone is plugged in, even when it does detect that the headset is plugged in. I tested the headset on my laptop that also runs Windows 10 and it works perfectly well. My laptop only has the one audio jack, and with my PC, I only needed to use one audio jack for it to work before. It didn't stop working between updates, it just stopped working all of the sudden. I want to use the microphone attached to the headset as I just bought the headset but my laptop is still using the built-in mic and the headset mic is not detected.

I recently bought a new headset with a microphone and I can hear audio through the headset but
my mic is not detected and it is still using my default Realtek computer microphone.

I've tried looking for hidden microphones but there are none.
I've re-installed my Realtek HD Audio driver.

But nothing seems to work.

What should I do to fix this?
