Windows 10: Rear Speakers of my Quadraphonic Speakers doesn't work on Windows.

I have a Quadraphonic Sound System with 4 speakers 2 fronts and 2 rears and a Woofer. Unfortunately, Windows 10 doesn't detect my Rear Speakers when I select "Quadraphonic" in Speaker Configuration dialog box. There comes no sound when I click on the Rear speakers in the Speaker Test section of Speaker Configure dialog box. All speakers are properly wired, properly placed and attached to the PC via a 2 Male RCA to Male 3.5mm cable. Still Windows doesn't catch the rear ones. This has been a problem since a long duration. Rear Speaker is not working in 5.1 or quadraphonic configuration. VIA HD audio driver

I have asus P8H61-M LX3 motherboard with VIA audio driver. It was fine on windows 7, could access all the functions through VIA HD deck. But after the windows10 update,W10 automatically updated the driver to "VIA HD audio(Win10)" and sound is still works
well. But I found that in 5.1 and quadraphonic configuration, there is no sound through rear speakers (those which connected to the BLUE line in port of CPU) .And also the HD audioDeck interface also became unable to open.

How to fix it? can I enable dolby digital in this driver?

This is an interesting post, and I will go through with it, however, I failed at the first step.
If I download the driver from MSI, I can simply say goodbye to the 5.1, nothing works. Now I use the 2.81 version, and from that I use a third party app the "driver booster" and with that did its magic the Realtek HD audio manager comes back, and I have 5.1... however... when I test the speakers in windows, the rear speakers gave no sound at all. If I play a movie in vlc, some sound comes from the rear speakers, but the volume level is NOT controlled by the windows volume mixer for the rear speakers. It only controls the front and center speakers... but the volume in the vlc media player controls all speaker. The rear speaker volume control in windows is binary and only one digit, I have or I do not have sound, I get the same volume level from 1% to 100%. What is even more strange is when I tried to check my driver what actually somewhat works now, I did not get the Nahimic ones...



What on earth is going on, and how do I fix it?

 

Audio playback on rear and center speakers is not working.

I've tried both of the methods you suggested and it still didn't work, however when I go to configure the speakers and test them the rear ones work fine but only in the test and the center speaker does nothing.
