  1. Receiving Authenticator request when incorrect password is entered.

Someone attempted to log in to my account, and I received a Microsoft Authenticator request. I pressed Deny, and I checked my recent activity history.According to the history, an incorrect password was entered. When I click "Secure your account", I'm told "Don’t worry. This sign-in attempt was unsuccessful, so there is no need to change your password."If an incorrect password was entered, why did I receive an Authenticator request? Should I change my password or not?Edit: Also, similar questions have been asked before 1, 2, but they never receive a real explanation.

    :)

Authenticator App - Automatic Request Timeout

I'm using Authenticator app for 2FA and up till now worked fine - I would get a request in the app to confirm the number displayed in browser and then confirm with my fingerprint. However recently everytime a request is triggered, the number flashes for
second and then automatically fails to "Request Timeout" message. I still get the request in the app but its too late by then.

To log in I have to re-enter my password and then enter the One-time password code in the app.

    I tried the following:

    • removing the accounts from the app,
    • removing the app and re-installing it and re-adding the account
    • disabling and then re-enabling MFA in security settings in my account

  3. Save password for proxy authentication in Firefox??

Here is how you save your proxy password in firefox.

    1. first go to security and make sure your have "Remember passwords for sites" checked.

    2. enter the ip address of your proxy server in the address bar. Example: 136.0.119.203:29342

3 enter the password into the password box that comes up.

    4. When the box comes up that asks if you want to save your password click "Remember Password"

    5. go back to advance, connection settings where you saved your proxy info and make sure were it says "Do not prompt for authentication if password is saved" at the bottom of the popup box is checked.

From now on you shouldn't have to enter your user name and password again.

  4. Receiving Authenticator request when incorrect password is entered.

Entered Incorrect Password too many times, but never entered password

Recently I have started receiving a message about entering an incorrect password and having to put A1B2C3 before trying again, but I never tried to put a password in to begin with. My computer will 'sleep' and then the message of "too many incorrect tries"
appears, Does this mean I have a virus? How can I make it stop?
