Discus and support receiving message of file system error (-1073740791) after installing windows 10 updates in Windows 10 Installation and Upgrade to solve the problem; My PC is running on Windows10 & few days ago had a whole bunch of updates for MS Office 2010 installed.     My PC is running on Windows10 & few days ago had a whole bunch of updates for MS Office 2010 installed. Now I can not open neither my excel nor word files in Office 2010. I received this message: File system error (-1073740791). I tried but unable to uninstall the updates. How can I resolve this problem?

    Hi,

    I have recently bought games from steam and wanted to install steam onto my laptop so I can play these games. But as I save it to my selected file it, a message pops up regarding:

    C:\users\USER\Desktop\.....\Steam\steamSetup.exe

    File system error -1073740791.

    I have tried to restore my hard drive but it hadn't made a difference. Also I have tried to use commands such as /sfc... but the it stops at 8%.

    It would be appreciative if you could reply to my problem.

    I have a new laptop (MS Surface), and am trying to set up Office 365 so that I can work from Excel. However, I am getting an error message -1073740791 and the set up is aborting. Can you please help?
