Windows 10: Recent Computer Crashes

Yesterday, I tried to play Garry's Mod on my computer. I have a play record of over 200 hours on the game after owning it for about a year, and as such, I was very surprised to have it suddenly freeze up and stop working. I had to press and hold down on the power button on my computer to shut down the system and close the program. When I turned my computer back on, I believe I tried to run it again, only to have it eventually freeze up and not work once again. I looked in my windows settings and noticed that I had to install an update that was recently released. Thus, I installed the update and restarted my computer. However, when I tried to run the game again, it was pretty much the same result, more or less: I'd load into a map, play around for what was probably less than 5 minutes, and have the game completely freeze, and have to power my computer off and turn it back on. This problem has also occurred with another game I tried to play using steam, and occurred once again when I tried to play two other games through the Epic games launcher. I have tried restarting my computer, powering down and counting for about 10 seconds out loud, uninstalling certain windows updates that apparently caused issues according to other websites on the web, sending a question to a Microsoft advisor about 2 times, uninstalling some games that I had installed in the past couple of days that had been from 2008, thinking that they were causing the issue, and even running the game in offline mode. All of these solutions have seemed to have no effect, and I am still unable to run Garry's Mod for a good 10 minutes or most likely less without it crashing. The only option that I believe I still have left is resetting my computer, which I reallydon't want to have to resort to. I would like some assistance in what could be causing these issues, as it is all quite frustrating. I would also like to mention that while I do have a lot of addons, my computer has handled the amount without large flaw for a good amount of time. Even though I realize that this would be something to ask the steam community, I am not doing this as the problem doesn't just apply to Garry's Mod. As I said, the problem also occurs in a couple other games that I have tried to play, and they have ended up crashing. I believe that this is a computer problem and not a problem relating to internet usage, as it seemed that the game crashed even faster when I ran it in offline mode. I would really appreciate some assistance on this issue as it is all very frustrating. One more thing: just today, I installed a new update that was released also today, and it seems to have made no difference in the occurrence of this issue.

Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

ive watch my temps and both the cpu and gpu are within normal ranges. when it freezes it simply freezes the image and stops the sound. i must reboot to get back to windows.

 

Desktop Computer Crashes

My new HP desktop computer still crashes. I tried following the steps in the link above, How to do a Disk check of System drive in Windows 10 and interpret the logs...

I am not able to complete or follow the task required to allow you to see what happened with the computer crash. I need an easier step such as a 1 2 3 or and a b c, to-do list in order for me to let you see my System logs.
