Windows 10: Recent files in file explorer no longer show up when searching for files

Discus and support Recent files in file explorer no longer show up when searching for files in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; Previously, when I opened my file explorer, I was able to use the search box and have the option for files that I accessed yesterday, today, etc. pop...     Recent files in file explorer no longer show up when searching for files


    Previously, when I opened my file explorer, I was able to use the search box and have the option for files that I accessed yesterday, today, etc. pop up. This was convenient. Now I can only search for the files by name. Can someone tell me why this has changed and how I can get it back to how it was?

    you get the idea. ( too lazy to put it in a for loop and test it.

    or just open regedit and remove all the fileX from that key.

    to prevent it from autopopulating try making the reg key
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion
    \Applets\Paint\Recent File List read only
