    Recent Files were gone and the whole File Explorer is a mess with no proper order of my files


    In last year 2022, in September or in November, there was a normal update like always and updated it. After that I opened my File Explorer and was shocked to see that my "Recent Files" section was completely gone. The "Home" Bar contains the Recent files but now there is no proper arrangement pf my files due to lose of Recent Tab. I'm left out with only a bunch of files with no proper management. Please help and I want my Recent tab back !

    you get the idea. ( too lazy to put it in a for loop and test it.

    or just open regedit and remove all the fileX from that key.

    Recent File List

    to prevent it from autopopulating try making the reg key
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion
    \Applets\Paint\Recent File List read only
