Windows 10: Recent knowledge base update

I just install the recent knowledge base update. I was playing a game. My computer automatically went into hibernation and will not restarti. Pushed the power button keyboard etc. I don't know what else to do. It's in hibernation mode and it won't wake upIt's an MSI thin has i5 processor and a 1 tb hdd 16 gb ramHopefully that's enough information to get you started

Finding knowledge base articles for Windows Phone

Hi,

I've just received a notification of Windows Phone 8 updates - it includes KB 2788407, KB 2788409, KB 2788410 and KB 2788412.

Now, search as I might, I can't find these knowledgebase references anywhere on Microsoft's site. I've found some forum comments that these updates include the Portico update, and the Windows Phone 8 Update History page lists one of these updates (8.0.10211.204,
but not 8.0.9906.13).

[Edit: Note that it seems I'm currently on 8.0.9903.10, which is *also* unhelpfully not listed in the Windows Phone 8 Update History. Maybe this is the base version, but still, I think it should be listed somewhere]

For years I've looked up knowledgebase articles by number. Why don't these Windows Phone knowledge base numbers refer to actual Knowledge Base articles that I can look up and read about? Why all the secrecy about what's in each fix/patch/update on Windows
Phone compared to Windows?

 

Lost some apps after recent Windows update

The only update which showed using the steps provided was:

Security Update for Internet Explorer Flash Player for Windows 10 Version 1511 for x64-based Systems (KB3132372)

It was installed on 2JAN16. It shows a check for updates was recently carried out.

No other updates show but I don't know if updates are listed as with Windows 7 ??I am sure a 'windows' update took place a few days ago, but W10 is confusing my knowledge of the operating system. Should all updates be listed?

Start icon and Search Failed after recent Windows Updates

To understand the issue better, I would need more information from your end.

• Do you get any error messages? If yes, what is the complete error message?
• What is the knowledge Base article numbers of the Windows Updates that were installed recently?

To find Knowledge Base Article number of the Windows Updates, view your Windows Update history:

1. Click on
Start and click on Settings.

2. Open
Update and Recovery.

3. Click on
Windows Update, and then click on Advanced Options.

4. Click View your update history.

This issue could have occurred due to conflict between recently installed Windows Update.

I suggest you to uninstall the Windows Update that caused the issue and check if the issue occurs or not.

To uninstall the update follow these steps:

a) Right- click on Start and click on
Control Panel.

b) Click on Programs and features.

c) Click on View installed updates.

d) Scroll through the list and find the update.

e) Right-click the update and
uninstall it.
