Windows 10: recent lap top freeze on a **** and a message from microsoft to call to fix

called the number to fix and was connected to . Balaji consultants (geeks silicon) based in upper darby, pa. they showed me that my panda security and Malwarebytes had not been updated to accommodate windows 10. they also stated that neither was allowed to update to windows 10. as a result they had me enroll in their Microsoft lifetime plan at a considerable cost. I subsequently called panda to inquire as to why their protection as well as Malwarebytes was not updated to accommodate windows 10. their reply was that both in fact are updated to accommodate windows 10. my question is have I been scammed by Balaji consultants (geeks silicon) into paying for their service. please respond asap
