Windows 10: (Recent) Problems with Win 10 (2004) and my Samsung C49RG94SSU

Hi everyone,

I'm posting this in r/Windows10 because I'm almost 100% sure my problem is related to the Windows 10 2004 update.

After I had read about the many problems related to the update, I waited until 3 days ago to install it (via the usual Windows update routine).

Since then I have had massive problems with my Samsung C49RG94SSU 49'' monitor which worked absolutely flawlessly until I rebooted after the completed Win 10 update.

Problems (all, so far, related to sleep mode):

Because I'm away from my PC many times during the day, I set the monitor to go to sleep after 10 minutes.

1. After I had rebooted and my monitor was turned off after 10 minutes of idle time, it wasn't recognized at its display port 1 connection anymore (it would not wake up, no matter what I did). When I switched to display port 2, everything worked for a while.
2. Now I have the same problem on display port 2. Once it has gone to sleep after 10 minutes, it simply will not turn back on. Only if I pull the display port two cable out from the monitor and plug it in again, the monitor comes back to life.

Does anyone know what I could do to fix this problem or what I could try to find where the problem lies?

Win 10 2004 update No AMD graphics

Before upgrading anything else to 2004, I would suggest checking out the current Known Issues list.

Feature Update Win 10 Pro 2004

The Feature Update Win 10 2004 appears to have installed successfully on my computer.

It is listed in Settings, System, About.

However, the Update has wiped out all of my previous Windows Update, View Update History which is now blank.

Moreover, the Feature Update Win 10 2004 itself is not listed in Settings, Update and Security, Windows Update, View Update History.

Is this important?

And if so, how can it be repaired?

• Can you tell us what model of computer you are using while connecting to your Samsung Note 4?

However, we suggest you to run the Hardware and Device Troubleshooter through these steps:

• Press Win + X then select Control Panel.
• Click Troubleshooting.
• Click Hardware and Sound then select Hardware and Devices.
• To run the troubleshooter, follow the steps from the wizard.

You may also try updating the driver by following the steps on this
link.
