Windows 10: Recent update makes internal harddrive disappear on Asus ROG G750JM laptop

I have an Asus ROG G750JM laptop which recently auto-updated the latest Windows 10 update, approximately 3 weeks ago, and ever since I've been experiencing problems including crashing in sleep/hibernate mode, failed startups and blue screen/restarts and missing internal hard drives.



I had no problem with the computer prior to the update, and no new programs have been installed, so the only reason I can find is the recent Windows update. I talked with a fellow student also in possession of an Asus computer and he is experiencing the same problems. His problems also started after updating Windows 10.



The computer usually starts, but will suddenly freeze shortly after displaying the desktop. This is often combined with 2/4 internal hard drives missing. I have C:, where OS is installed, and D:, E:, and F:. It is always the D: and E: drives that goes missing and will reappear after some time (from 10 min to an hour).



If I close the laptop without shutting it off, it will sometimes show a black screen and be unresponsive, even though the lights indicate that it is turned on. This always require a hard shut down by manually pressing the on/off button. The startup is often followed by a computer repair which in turn is followed by a blue screen with option to select keyboard language. After selecting language, I get several different options, but none of them work;

- Windows rollback ()

- Troubleshoot (Will not restore)

- Command prompt (no memory)



How can this be fixed?

Windows 10 Asus ROG g750jm video scheduler internal error BSOD

Thanks for the effort you put into this. I didn't even think about using the Intel Driver Update Utility. I was having an issue where every time my G750JM went to sleep, when I tried to wake it up, it would blue screen with the same Video Scheduler error.
This did leave me to believe it was a driver issue and more thank likely an Intel driver as that is the driver used for all other tasks due to Optimus. I just ran the update utility on my Asus, and it found the same 2 driver updates. I love Asus's product
line, but it appears they, like many other manufacturers, have dropped the ball on full Windows 10 support for their existing product lines. Again, thanks for the effort in this!

 

Asus ROG. Opinions?

I am planning on getting a gaming laptop and my #1 choice is the Asus ROG that is on sale on the online Microsoft store. I have heard split reviews about the Asus, some saying that it simply doesn't turn on to some saying it is fantastic. It obviously
has a lot of capabilities and looking at its specs, it has a very powerful system however is it reliable enough for me to purchase or will it just be a waste of time. If it isn't reliable, then what would be a good backup computer to purchase.

Have you tried the 8.1 drivers John? That's what I would do. I see a bunch of those.
