    Recent updates breaks my ability to wirelessly connect to a Roku Premier


    Since about April 1, 2020 one of the Windows updates broke my ability to connect to Roku. Before that, it worked fine. I connect by going to "Connect to a wireless display". Using Windows 10 x64. Machine is a Lenovo ideapad 570. My wireless network is still working fine. Can still connect to the Roku device using my Galaxy S10 with no problems.


    At one point I rolled back the update. I could connect again. I forgot to disable auto-updates so of course Windows updated me again and re-broke my Roku capability.


    It seems pretty clear that something has been broken recently. Unfortunately one of the updates was huge, pretty hard for me to figure out what it was.

    Windows 10 laptop not connecting wirelessly to a Roku device

    I have a laptop with Windows 10. I want to connect it wirelessly with a Roku Premiere Plus device (Model 4630X). I have gone to the Windows 10 Action Center and clicked on the Connect button. The Roku device shows up but is unable to connect. I ran a Windows
    10 troubleshooter which found no problems with the device.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    I understand that you are facing issues while connecting the PC to Roku TV. For further clarity on the issue, please respond to the questions below.



    1. Which build version of Windows are you using currently?
    2. Which updates were installed recently?
    3. Do you receive any error code when you try to connect to Roku TV?


    Refer the article
    Which version of Windows operating system am I running?



    To check which updates were installed recently go to Settings >
    Update & Security > Windows Update >
    View installed update history



    Meanwhile, I would suggest you to refer the suggestions by
    Shafeeq_Khan     replied on November 4, 2018 and see if that helps.



    If the issue persist, please get back to us with the results of the troubleshooting steps to assist you further.
