Recent upgrade from windows 7, driver issues? [Need help]

So yesterday I downloaded win10 from the website and installed it. All went well, it started, but I couldn't tether my android. Checked device manager and 3 devices had yellow mark, so I searched their hardware IDs and installed the drivers. I also installed some thing called Intel management because on one forum it said it was required.

Anyhow, I installed those, rebooted, and I got the black screen with cursor. Logged in and everything is weird, like if some display driver is missing. High contrast, torn minus, and I can't even open settings (I can open control panel though).

Oh, and right clicking ANYWHERE opens the right click menu without any text.

Now I just want to go back to win7. I still have 30 days to recover my windows. Old folder, but that setting is only available through settings which doesn't open *Sad

    Please help, thanks in advance!

    :)

Forgot to mention, when I first opened win10 I went and deleted my c:\windows\recources\themes folder as there were around 20 win7 custom themes there.

If you need a screenshot of anything lemme know!

Hi, first you should be able to navigate to a recovery option to 'Go back to the previous build' by booting from Win 10 installation media if you can't boot into Windows successfully after the manner of this (but from your boot medium):
Windows 10 - Go Back to Previous Windows - Windows 10 Forums

Second, we don't know what your PC is.. is it Win 10 compatible?

Third, a clean install is always preferable.

Fourth, from '7 you may find '10 is a learning curve, and in some ways relatively fragile. However once working it can also be very stable.

Finally, it's really strongly recommended to routinely use disk imaging (e.g. Macrium Reflect free)so you can restore a previously working version of Windows (relevant to any version) so when you make major changes you've got some protection without the need for technical advice.

  6. If your Windows 10 install activated, then I wouldn't waste any more time troubleshooting. Back up your data and perform a clean install. It will give you a much more efficient system, and a fresh start for the system.

So I downloaded the ISO, burned it and booted into it. There wasn't a 'back to win7' option, just a 'back to previous build'option but following that thread you linked, I clicked it. It showed that it was getting ready, then said restarting. Been at this restarting thing for 5mins, should I force it off?

So after reading on reddit that many people had this restarting problem I went ahead and forced it off and on.

Now it's on 'restoring your previous version of windows' and I'm hopeful that this works xD
