    Recent Win10 update wiped out Brother4535 printer driver in one of our laptops.


    We've lost the use of one of our Win10 laptops. A recent update wiped the correct driver from the machine and six attempts at deleting and reloading the Brother install package have not been able to reconfigure the system properly. I'm not new to personal computing and have tried every fix I know but am still missing something.

    Adding unlisted printer to the Win10 list

    !'m not sure how I did it but all seems well now. It was something like Deacon suggested plus a re-boot or two. It's now listed as a printer, not as unspecified.

    Update the list still doesn't work.

    Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

    When in win10:
    • Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....
    Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
    - Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.
