Windows 10: Recent Windows update has incapacitated my Dell laptop. HELP!

Ran the most recent Windows update on my Dell laptop yesterday afternoon. Did a "update and shut down". Now it will not boot into the operating system or safe mode. A message says "start up repair couldn't repair your PC".

PLEASE don't make me have to reinstall all of my apps!

How can I revert back to the system as it was before the update until you get your errors figured out?

I want to disable touchpad on Dell laptop


These 7 steps allowed me to disable my touchpad (Dell laptop, Windows 10):

1. Win Start button
2. Type in "device manager"
3. Select Device Manager to open it
4. Click down arrow to left of "Mice and other..." to expand
5. Right click Dell Touchpad
6. Disable device
7. Yes

 

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
