Windows 10: Reclaim Space in [ExternalDrive]:\WindowsApps FOlder

Here is what happened:I opened Xbox in PC Windows 10I saw that a game needed to update and tried to update but it said error I forget the error now.I figure maybe the files are corrupted and uninstall and attempt to reinstallThe dialog of which drive to install appears and displays D my external drive but with&nb

WindowsApps folder says permissions are corrupted and need to be deleted, is this normal or critical?

According to your description, I suggest you try the following steps:

1. Navigate to the location C:\Program Files.
   
2. Right-click on the WindowsApps folder, and select Properties.
   
3. Turn to Security tab and click on Advanced.
   
4. Click on Change and then type Users in Enter the object name to select area.
   
5. Click on OK, then click Apply > OK. You can also add the TrustedInstaller to the users list and check if it takes effect.
   

However, you might be still not able to access the files. The workaround is to go inside the C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\, and repeat the same way with the Microsoft.WindowsStore* folders.

Reclaim space on hdd


I need to reclaim some space on the hard drive that my Windows 10 is installed on this pc.

There is a Windows.old.000 folder (13.2 GB)

and a

Windows.old folder (9.09 GB).

Can I still use Disk Cleanup with Windows 10 to do this, and is it ok to do it?
