    Recognition Issue

    I have a Xerox Phaser 3116 printer and Windows 10 64-bit v.1809.

When I plug my printer, the computer automatically installs it as a ‘Software Device’ in Device Manager. The printer is not properly recognized by Windows 10 64-bit v.1809. Windows installs the driver called ‘Universal Software Printer’ and says the device is set up and ready.

The printer simply does not work. It is listed in theUnspecified Devices section in Devices and Printers.

When I plug my printer to the same computer running any other Windows Win7, Win8.1 and even Win10 v.1607, it is detected and installed as an ‘Unknown Device’. Then I feed the correct driver to my printer and it runs perfectly and is recognized in Device Manager as a printer and listed in the Printers section in Devices and Printers.

What can I do with this?

    :)

    Facial recognition

    Hello Bill,

We need to do further investigation on your concern so that we will know why the facial recognition quit working:

    • Have you recently made any changes/updates prior to this issue?
    • Is there an error message when you try to sign using facial recognition?
    • What is the make and model of your computer?
