Windows 10: Recording with any program causing entire computer to lag.

I've tried everything I can think of, from upgrading RAM to uninstalling and rolling back drivers, but I can't find out why my whole computer lags when recording games. Just having OBS open does the same thing, but it's mostly on discord. Other programs show my fps is decently high, but my game feels like it's running at 30 fps. It only does not happen in Fromsoftware games like Dark Souls Remastered, Dark Souls 3, and Elden Ring. I've done so much searching and am starting to think it's a problem with Windows 11. I have an Acer Nitro 5 with an RTX 3050 and Intel i5-11400H. I would like help i

Can not record audio.

We suggest that you run troubleshooting for Audio Recording by following these steps:

• Type troubleshooting on the search box.
• Click View all.
• Select Recording Audio.
• Follow the steps to troubleshoot Recording Audio.

Nokia E72 Video Recording Lags

Interesting. After fully defragmenting the E72's memory card on a XP computer, video recording no longer lags!

BTW, the memory card can't be defragmented on Windows 8 computers as the latest OS no longer supports disk 'optimisation' for SD cards.

It seems the lag was caused by seeking for a possibly largest space to store the video file? By design??

Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2. You are facing the above issue due to incompatibility of the program with Windows 10.



Use Steps recorder by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

• Press Windows logo key on the keyboard and type
  Steps recorder.
• Select the top most search result and check if you are able to use the programs.
