  1. Recover a background photo I somehow deleted

Somehow I removed a background photo and am unable to get it back. In Settings>Personalization I used to be able to browse photos and select the one I want. I can't seem to find that Browse anymore. I've had this background for more than a year I know- boring and now I can't recover it from my Pictures files.I have the picture, I just can't move it to the background.JGLTX

  2. How can I recover deleted photos?

To recover deleted photos from your PC,
you can try the previous version option. To do so, just try these steps:

    • First of all, you’ve to right-click the folder that contained the deleted files & folders
    • Then, select the ‘Restore previous versions.
    • After that, in the available versions, you need to choose those deleted photos
    • Lastly, click on the ‘Restore’ or drag & drop the desired version at any place on the system.
I hope this solution will help you out to get your all-important images back to your PC again. Good luck...

    Recovering photos: Help appreciated.

Due to a camera malfunction, some photos from the memory card were deleted. My friend and me were able to recover them with help of recovery software but some photos are grayed out(50%). The memory card was left intact and no new data was written in our knowledge. It is in the FAT file format and a 4 GB card.

Is there any way to recover the photos in their original state?

Photos app hogging resources in background

Ian, this suggestion was posted on my other thread:

We understand that not all of users are using the Photos app on Windows 10, if not very often. If you don't want this app to be running on background when not in use, there is a way you can turn this
off. Kindly follow the steps provided below:

    • In Cortana, type Privacy Settings
      and press Enter.
    • Look for Background apps.
    • Look for Photos in the list.
    • Flip the switch to Off.
    • Restart your computer.

After you restart your computer, you can check if the Photos app is still running in background. You can use these steps to turn off any running background applications as it is not limited to Photos
app alone. In this way, you can conserve a lot of power and process allowance.

I just followed these instructions, and now have to wait to see if it works. I'm hoping it solves your problem, too!
