Windows 10: Recover back-up disk

I was trying to fix the current download problem error 0x80070643 using instructions by a support individual I'll indicate this below, but the instructions didn't work at one point. So I opted out of the instructions, but then discovered my 3tb backup drive was disconnected. When I open Disc Management I get this display...Not wanting to take a chance on deleting my backup files, I hit Cancel on the Initialize Disk pop-up, then looked for Disk 2. Disk 2 is 2.7 tb, so it's the disc for the backup drive. See here.....So, he said, with some personal exasperation and modesty, how, pray tel

Recovering Local Disk

It could be a compatibility issue with the latest update and your local disk. We suggest updating your disk driver. Follow these steps:

• On the Start, type Device Manager.
• Locate and select Disk drives.
• Right-click on your disk drive, select Properties.
• Go to the Driver tab and choose Update Driver.
• Once done, click OK.

Recovering files

Hi, you would need to describe exactly what you have done step by step as the possibilities in your minimal description are many. We don't even know for sure exactly where your original disk is or what method you have used, so no point suggesting data recovery methods yet. I could provide a page of questions, but better if you take the initiative as a list a. I .... b. Then I ... c. ... Thanks.

 

Recover or Reformat?

Thanks for your response hey.

I have the original disks and am trying to install. I get to a point (from previous reply)

I did what you said and then was told to remove the CD from the CD-Rom Drive, put in the recovery CD and then press the 'OK' button to continue

So I changed to the next disk but the OK doesn't appear to be being 'pressed'. Yes I have pushed enter on the keyboard which is what I have been using to get me through the other steps..

Any suggestions?

And the keyboard worked for the first step but when I was meant to hit Enter on the keyboard nothing happened. The OK didn't highlight.. nothing..

Am kinda stuck..
