Windows 10: Recover lost files on Windows 10

Hi,

I cannot find any literature that categorically states that the new 'Windows File Recovery' programme cannot recover Outlook .pst files. I have just done the first scan which recovered a host of other files but not the .pst files. I will be grateful for advice on this please and if it indeed does not, any suggestions as to which programme is capable of recovering such files, because with the recent Windows update, it corrupted my Outlook and in doing so all my .pst files in the folder related to my Outlook, and therefore all my current and archived emails, got deleted somehow. I have none of my emails, other than the 3 months ones on my service providers server.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
