Windows 10: Recover my files after CLEAN command for boot volume in diskpart

My Windows 11 laptop became unresponsive and would only boot into safe mode 2 days ago. After many attempts and research, I was told to use DISKPART from elevated command prompt to CLEAN only the small 650mb BOOT volume after selecting it. That is what I did - with the plan to rebuild it from installation media USB drive today. I expected only the selected small volume 1 of 6 volumes on the hard drive and not the enormous 900GB volume where my files and the main Windows installation were - but when booting from the newly-created USB drive today - here is what I am getting:LIST DISK shows on

You will get this error when you are using diskpart clean command on system disk. The system disk contains the Windows operating system files and other critical files, if you are allowed to clean the system disk, all the data and partitions will be gone. That
will result in a lot of errors and chaos. Meanwhile, the delete volume is greyed out in Disk Management. In this case, the new SSD drive may be regarded as the system disk due to the system files, etc.

Using Windows installation disc to clean

If you have the Windows installation disc, you can follow these steps to solve clean is not allowed issue in Windows 7/8/10:

1. Insert the Windows installation disc, then boot from it.

2. Click Repair your computer> Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Command Prompt.

3. Then input the diskpart commands to clean hard disk:

diskpart

list disk

select disk [disknumber]

clean

Diskpart Clean

Then you could create a new partition on the drive to solve this problem.

Data recovery after diskpart clean command

Hi

Laptop: Asuspro 2520LJ

In Windows setup, i encountered this error when reinstalling Windows 10: "the selected disk has an mbr partition table on efi systems windows can only be installed to gpt...".

what did i do?

shift+F10 = open command prompt

Diskpart

List disk (result: I had two disks, one laptop hard drive and the other flash drive)

List volume (result: all my drives)

Select volume 3 (Windows drive)

Clean

Convert gpt (result: all disk deleted, all my data)



Most of the disk space (one terabyte) was full.

I don't have backup from one drive and that's my problem.

I turned off the laptop after the above incident.

Now, my laptop does not have windows.



1. Is there any way to recover my data?

2. How likely is it that my data will be recovered?

3. can i use Windows pe?

How to recover the disk partition deleted with command clean

I was using the microsoft media tool to create an usb installer of win10. And when asked to select the volume for the system, I accidentally formatted and deleted the primary volume(where I used to install the system), and was noticed with an error code:
0x8004240f that it couldn't create a new partition, unfortunately, I then activated the diskpart command window, and using the clean command, so now I only have one partition on the disk(although the data is not lost), so I was wondering that how can I recover
the partition since now there is no partition list and no system installed at all. And I really appreciate your help.
