  1. Recover windows 11 from NVME Ssd and all files as I had it before?

Joshua here, updated new cpu 5900x and ram 32GB both compatible and read by the bios also updated bios to latest, took it to the pc repair the guy said all hardware works fine except windows got corrupted somehow. I Can get into bios but windows boot up doesn’t happen even though it happened once after installing hardware, able to boot into safe mode with all my apps and apparently all old files and programs are still available on NVME ssd. Tried installing a fresh install of windows 10 from usb stick from Amazon it worked, except it didn’t save the new install onto my old ssd which still

    :)

  2. Upgrade Windows 7 on SSD NVMe to Windows 10 on SSD NVMe

    Hi Varnium,

    Thanks for updating me.

Usually, you can install Windows 10 on SSD NVme directly if your computer BIOS detects it.

You can try the following steps if your computer detects the SSD NVme:

1-After creating a Windows 10 bootable USB and going through the installation process. From the Installation page "Install Now", press F10 to open the Command Prompt.

2-Type these commands and hit enter:

    diskpart

    list disk

select disk X (Replace X with your SSD NVme number shown in the list above)

    clean

3-Restart your computer and go through the installation process.

If your computer does not detect it or the BIOS detects it, but you cannot see it during the installation process, it is best to contact your computer manufacturer's support services to provide you with accurate information about configuring BIOS.

Note: Make sure you can find all Windows 10 compatible drivers for your computer from manufacturer's official website and your computer fully supports Windows 10 before taking further actions.

Please do not hesitate to ask if you need further assistance.

BSOD after recovery image to NVMe SSD

    Hi,

I have a Windows 10 LTSC 21H2 OS at the SATA SSD and I back OS image by using Microsoft DISM command "Capture-Image" to capture to a .wim file.

After capture, using "Apply-Image" to apply OS image to a NVMe SSD and using bceboot command create boot file, using bcdedit command create recovery environment. Bootup the device, I can see the Windows loading but the device suddenly BSOD, the stop code "INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE".

BSOD only appear when apply image to NVMe SSD, when apply image to SSD with the same .wim file and steps can normally boot.

    I have some test:

Capture from SSD -> apply to SSD -> OK

Capture from SSD -> apply to NVMe -> BSOD

Capture from NVMe -> apply to SSD -> OK

Capture from NVMe -> apply to NVMe -> OK

Another testing, I ran "Sysprep" before capture OS image to remove PC-specific information and Capture image from SSD, apply to NVMe and boot up device can normally startup.

It seams like there are some information record at the OS related to the storage, information record from NVMe can both use on NVMe and SSD but information record from SSD can only use on SSD.

Do anyone konw why or anything cause the BSOD?

    Thanks!
