Windows 10: Recover wordpad files

Hello everyone, in these months I have been working on an important document that I regularly saved after having modified it (I saved it about ten times in these months) often, however, and sometimes happened to leave it open at power off and, therefore, to find it opens the next morning (except in rare cases where I lost the changes not saved in the last session); unfortunately the last time I do not seem to have saved the file and kept it open, at the opening (manual clicking on the icon saved on the desktop) unfortunately I appeared a warning that (stupidly) I did not read (I think it was a warning of error or impossibility of something) and the file was empty, the document was empty as if I had just opened it... Stupidly I accidentally clicked on the save icon (on the empty document), so my question is... is it not possible to recover one of the dozens of previous saves to this where the file was at least partially intact? It happened that also the other file that I had left open at the last shutdown (but on which I have not clicked save ) has been deleted (also it file saved many times previously), that is, also in this case, the icon exists but the document is totally empty... LARGE in advance for the answers, I hope you can help me because they were important enough files ...

wordpad notepad

I went to use WordPad today but am unable to find it in apps. Scrolling down the list it doesn't list notepad or WordPad as an app. I tried to ask Cortana to open it by saying "open WordPad" all I get as a response is her say open what app. looking at the
speechbox it seems to recognise what I am saying I couldn't get her to open any apps try calculator as well . She did suggest sites on how to open WordPad. In the end I went through file explorer and found a shortcut to WordPad but why isn't it listed as an
app ?

 

Cannot select Wordpad as default for .rtf files

Step 7a1 click "More Apps"

Step 7a2 Scroll down and click "find another app on this PC" if wordpad is not listed
