Windows 10: Recovering lost photos of my departed mother from 'Phone Link'

Somehow very important photos of my departed mother have been deleted from my mobile's gallery. I had deleted them from google photos to empty space, but did not expect this. My "phone link" app probably from Microsoft showed the deleted photos momentarily when I opened it, but immediately disappeared. How can I recover those photos? Please help.

Hello, I recently lost my phone, and regrettably, didn't have many of my newer photos backed up. However, Microsoft Phone Link (formerly Your Phone), still shows the thumbnails, which are pretty high quality, from the last time my phone synced a few days ago. Then when I click on the thumbnail it shows the whole photo, only blurred out. Is is possible to recover these photos, even low quality versions? I tried looking around in Project Files but didn't see anything obvious.

My s22U was recently stolen and unfortunately I lost some of the latest photos as they were not already uploaded to google photos. I noticed that on phone link these photos are still visible with thumbnails of a rather decent quality. Can you help me recover them somehow?

I also found this other post which describes a situation substantially identical to mine but it is 1) locked and 2) a little dated. Can anyone guide me on how to recover these photos in the most painless way possible?

Sorry, I completely missed the message. Thanks for the info.
I'm sure I had an automatic backup on google photos but that's not the problem.

Let me explain better:

• No backup is instant because uploading photos takes time, Google Photo also decides to upload only at certain times (and not as soon as I take the photo) based on some criteria that I don't know.
  
• This means that at the time of the theft, 99.9% of my photos were already saved in the cloud, but the last 0.1% had yet to be uploaded and therefore was "lost".
  
• Phone link on the contrary keeps the latest photos (or thumbnails at least) cashed.
  
• These cashed photos, in whatever quality they are, are certainly better than not having them at all (and imo they are actually quite usable)
  

What I'm asking is how to find the folder/partition on my PC where these thumbnails are stored so that I can recover them.
