  1. Recovering Windows System Image to a new larger capacity SSD NVMe

My System runs on a 128GB SSD NVMe which is running out of space.I decided to upgrade the SSD to 500GB so I:1. Created my System Image on an external Sata SSD drive using Windows Backup and Restore.2. Created the System Repair Tool on a flash drive and added a folder of drivers for the new SSD.3. Initialised, formatted and installed the new SSD4. Connected the Sata SSD and flash drives to the USB ports.5. Powered up and access the Recovery option. There were no recovery images listed. Windows said "Locate and install the driver for the device attached to the computer but not in the list of av

What is the Maximum capacity for M.2 NVMe ssd I can use

    Aspire E5-576 Laptop
MS Windows 10 Home 64-Bit (Japanese)

In my laptop there is an option to install M.2 NVMe ssd.

In the market there are M.2 NVMe ssd with various capacity (GB/TB). How do I know what is the maximum capacity for my laptop. My present Hard drive (not SSD) is showing empty space of 324 GB.

Any advice/suggestions/help in this regard will be much appreciated.

    Thank you.

  3. BSOD after recovery image to NVMe SSD

    Hi,

I have a Windows 10 LTSC 21H2 OS at the SATA SSD and I back OS image by using Microsoft DISM command "Capture-Image" to capture to a .wim file.

After capture, using "Apply-Image" to apply OS image to a NVMe SSD and using bceboot command create boot file, using bcdedit command create recovery environment. Bootup the device, I can see the Windows loading but the device suddenly BSOD, the stop code "INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE".

BSOD only appear when apply image to NVMe SSD, when apply image to SSD with the same .wim file and steps can normally boot.

    I have some test:

Capture from SSD -> apply to SSD -> OK

Capture from SSD -> apply to NVMe -> BSOD

Capture from NVMe -> apply to SSD -> OK

Capture from NVMe -> apply to NVMe -> OK

Another testing, I ran "Sysprep" before capture OS image to remove PC-specific information and Capture image from SSD, apply to NVMe and boot up device can normally startup.

It seams like there are some information record at the OS related to the storage, information record from NVMe can both use on NVMe and SSD but information record from SSD can only use on SSD.

Do anyone konw why or anything cause the BSOD?

    Thanks!

  4. Recovering Windows System Image to a new larger capacity SSD NVMe

    System Image on new SSD

Recently my HDD failed in my laptop, I had previously created a system image on an external hard drive and a repair disk on a DVD. I created the system image in a subfolder of the external drive as it contains multiple system images for different computers.
I have a new SSD that I am installing in place of my failed HDD, I have tried booting with the repair disk and recovering my system image to the new SSD without success, and just tried using AOMEI partition assistant but from what I can see, this software
only installs current OS onto new SSD. I am using a second laptop and want to transfer/recover the system image from my external drive to the new SSD, any ideas on using AOMEI, other software, or figuring out how to properly do this using Windows recovery?
