Windows 10: Recovery Drive & Aomei Backup Crash Log

My computer is a Dell XPS8940 with Windows 11 Pro. The computer crashed as a result of trying to revert back to Outlook Classic. I am unable restore the XPS8940 with either a recovery drive or a system backup created by Aomei Backupper Pro. They start loading and then crash according to Aomei was because “ there is an invalid object in the boot configuration data store.” The result is that I have to do clean reinstalls which is a problem because I had many legacy programs installed for which the product codes will no longer work.The Gigabit Ethernet Controller on the XPS8940 had p

[HELP]Image recovery issues

Guys i am trying to fix my cousins Asus Eee netbook. It has a backup image file that is partitioned on the hard drive but when I go to use it the app will run through a few steps and stop. It is running Vista . Any suggestions?

For a quick start to this, some pointers.

1. If you formatted a drive and did NOT write to it, recovery is possible. If you installed any data over it (such as windows, or copying files to it) then you need to restore a backup, or accept that you will have lost some, most, or all of your data.

2. Backups are not perfect - for example, a virus that killed your machine could also be in your backup. try and backup your important data first, not your operating system and useless files - and store it in more than one place if possible (for example, an external hard drive AND on DVD)

Software to backup windows

I suggest Aomei Backupper. It is very simple to use. The free ( standard version) will be fine.

Under the backup Tab, click System backup, then at Step 2 , browse to the location you want to save the backup image. Then click "Start Backup"
