Recovery Mode error: OxcO00000e when booting Windows 11

Hi, I recently upgraded my laptop by adding an m.2 SSD. It originally had windows 11 running on the HDD so I installed windows 11 on the new SSD and finished setting it up. After that.. I deleted the boot option from the HDD as well as the windows files then rebooted the PC. After that.. I was met with the said error. The options "press Enter" "F1" and "F8" doesn't work. Only the escape button works which brings me to the Bios menu where I would just do a "save and exit" to boot, then the laptop would boot normally. Every time I would open the Laptop I have to go through all of this everytime

    :)

  2. Secure boot isn't turning on in HP laptop (windows 11)

    Hello Mohd_357,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I understand the frustration you’re facing with Secure Boot on your HP laptop. Let’s troubleshoot this issue step by step:

    1. Load HP Factory Default Keys:
      • Go into the BIOS settings.
      • Navigate to System Configuration > Boot Options.
      • Look for an option to Load HP Factory Default Keys. If available, select it.
      • Check if Secure Boot becomes available after doing this.
    2. Disable Fast Startup:
      • Boot into your operating system (Windows 11).
      • Open Settings.
      • Go to Updates & Security > Recovery.
      • Click Restart Now under “Advanced startup.”
      • Wait for your PC to boot into the system recovery menu.
      • Select Troubleshoot and then choose Advanced options.
      • Finally, select UEFI Firmware Settings.
    3. Check BIOS Mode:
      • Ensure that your Windows 11 installation is in UEFI mode, not legacy mode.
      • If your notebook’s BIOS mode is set to legacy, you won’t be able to enable Secure Boot. You may need to reinstall Windows 11 from an EFI boot source.
    4. Reset BIOS settings to Default:
      • Reset BIOS settings may restore secure boot settings to normal factory state.

    Regarding TPM 2.0:

    • Your PC may not have TPM (Trusted Platform Module) support, which is required for Windows 11.
    • Additionally, Windows 11 requires an Intel 8th gen core processor or newer.

I hope it can solve your problem.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

    Best Regards,

  3. Windows 11 safe mode boot missing Startup Settings option

We are deploying new desktops with Windows 11. I was writing up procedures for booting in safe mode in Windows 11. There were many options to get to Troubleshooting option but all methods had steps :

    1. After the computer restarts to the Choose an Option screen, select Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Settings > Restart.
When I select the Troubleshooting option, my Advanced Options screen does not have a Startup Setting option. My only options are Startup Repair UEFI Firmware Settings

    Command Prompt System Restore

    Uninstall Updates System Image Recovery

How do I boot my Win 11 PC in safe mode from a cold start?

  4. Recovery Mode error: OxcO00000e when booting Windows 11

Unable to boot the PC, stuck in recovery mode screen

    Hi Joe,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you are unable to boot the PC normally as it is stuck in recovery mode.

    1. Were there any recent updates installed on the PC?
    2. What is the exact make and model of the PC?

I would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below and check if that helps.

    Method 1:

Boot the PC into safe mode with networking and check if you are able to login. Refer the article to

Start your PC in safe mode in Windows 10
    , refer the section
From a black or blank screen.

    Method 2:

Perform a system restore to revert the PC back to the state when everything was working fine. Refer the article

    Recovery options in Windows 10
    , refer the section
Use installation media to restore or reset your PC.

    Note:
Do not reset the PC; resetting the PC will remove all the data and installed programs from the PC.

    We await your response.
