  1. Recovery mode, windows couldn't load correctly

So two days ago I was playing cyberpunk on my pc, I turned it off for the night and went to sleep, nothing different than normal. The next day I wake up and I turn on my pc to work and suddenly my pc like boots again and again until it get to recovery mode and it says 'Windows couldn't load properly'.

No issue I think and I ask the system to fix the problem but that doesn't work, rather everything windows offers me doesn't work. After searching everywhere I see that my only option is to create an ISO on a USB drive and repair windows. Sadly upon trying windows told me I wasn't allowed to repair my windows version, so I just installed an entirely new one.

I turn on my pc and it works! For a minute or so, after which it reboots and I'm back at the start, this time however, the USB drive was allowed to repair Windows, and it even succeeded. Today I turned on my pc and I updated everything, my drivers, my Windows and even all my Microsoft apps. I start up Cyberpunk 2077 and it works fine, less than before for some reason but it runs and it doesn't crash until I played a minigame whereupon my system rebooted, luckily to the login screen but when I tried to put in my password it just rebooted again. This cycle was going on for a ful 15 minutes before I decided I had enough and I turned my pc off and on. And yeah, you guessed it, I was back at recovery mode. Unable to repair it, hell, even unable to install Windows again because it just turns off for some reason midway.

I don't know why this is happening, nothing changed between me turning off the pc and me turning it on yet somehow my entire pc is ruined. If anyone could help me with this problem I would gladly try anything you recommend.

  2. Recovery: Windows didn’t load correctly

    Hi,

Damages within the Windows Boot Configuration can be a possible cause why you are experiencing unexpected restart or reboot and getting the message "Windows didn’t load correctly". For us to provide an effective solution, we would need you to answer the
    following questions:

    • Which build, version and edition of Windows is installed on your computer?
    • What changes have you made to your computer before this issue occurred?

In the meantime, we suggest that you follow the troubleshooting steps provided by Yashwanth Kotakuri in this
    thread.

We are looking forward to your response.

  3. Windows 10 not loading correctly.

    Hi,

For us to isolate your concern with the display message "Recovery - It looks like Windows didn't load correctly", we would like to know the following:

    • Were there any changes made on your computer prior to the issue (e.g., updates, software installation)?
    • To make sure that we have not missed on anything, aside from rebooting, what other troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

We look forward to your response.

Recovery mode, windows couldn't load correctly

How does Windows boot to advanced recovery option e.g. command prompt?

    - that gives me a 454 'Unexpected error' This tells me that the BCD is partially corrupted.

    The commands: shutdown.exe /r /o /f /t 00
    or: %SystemRoot%\System32\Cmd.exe /c reagentc /boottore&shutdown /r /f /t 00
should boot into Recovery if everything is configured correctly.
FYI, If Windows is configured correctly:
    1. If Reagentc is disabled, you still can get into Recovery but with limited options.
    2. If Reagentc is enabled, you'll get all options.
    3. If you boot Windows using Recovery USB stick, You'll get into Recovery with couple of options missing.

Here's my suggestion if you want to try:
OPTION 1: Will save the trouble of re-install Windows.

    1. Download the image of my first 3 partitions (450MB Recovery, 100 MB EFI partition, and 16MB unformatted primary)
      EFI_Boot-00-00.7z - Google Drive
    2. Run Macrium and restore the image from step 1, overwriting your existing 1st three partitions, leaving C alone.
    3. Delete the 490MB Recovery partition.
    4. From Macrium, run fix boot problems.
    5. Reboot. Open Admin command prompt then run Reagentc /info to make sure that it is enabled. If not, enable it.
if failed to enable, reboot and try again.
OPTION 2: Assuming you've already had Windows backup with Macrium.

    1. Wipe out the first 5 parttiions. (450MB, 100MB, 16MB, C Drive, 480MB)
    2. Fresh install Windows 10
    3. Restore C drive from backup image, run fix boot problems
    4. repeat step 5 from OPTION 1 above.
