Windows 10: Recovery of a lost product key purchased online from mircosoft store.

I purchased Microsoft Windows 10 Pro online from the Microsoft Store. I installed on my computer, but before I had the chance to change the product key, my computer was attack by ransomware. During the recovery, I had to reformat my hard drive to eliminate the ransomware. When I reformatted my hard drive, I lost everything including the email with my new product key. Is there a possibly that Microsoft can provide me with a history of my online purchase showing the product key for the Microsoft Windows 10 Pro. This occur around November 2018. I would appreciate any help you can provide. Thank you.

When I tried to reinstall Windows 10 Pro after recovering my computer, it would only allow me to install Windows 10 Home, because I didn't change the product key before I perform the recovery. Thank you.

I am an independent advisor here to help

with a purchase such as this there is no traditional product key to be had. What happens is that a digital product license is issued and is embedded as a small file in the motherboard of your computer.

As long as you have not changed the motherboard of your computer you should be able to reinstall and activate Windows 10 Pro without an issue. when you see the screen that asked you to manually input an activation key simply skip that screen and allow the Microsoft
servers to activate via the Internet later on
