    Hi so I can't use my laptop at all since I kept getting the recovery screen thing and i tried so many methods to fix it and it won't work also when I tried installing windows 10 and it starts restarting it goes back to the recovery screen can someone please help me I don't want to spend money to repair this

    Error 0x0000185 BCD

    Hello,

    I have an HP Notebook 15 running W10. It came with W8 from the factory. For the last two weeks I've been facing the same problem. I get the blue recovery screen saying that there are missing files to boot. The file is EFI/Microsoft/Boot/Bcd. Error code:
    0x0000185. I have created recovery media for W8 and I have an original version of W10. When I try to boot with either one of them, the USB is recognized by the BIOS but once it starts I go to a black screen. I don't get neither repair nor instalation options.

    What should I do?

    BIOS error codes

    So I have motherboard with installed small LED screen, which presents BIOS error codes.

    Where can I find a list of those errors. And I don't mean beep codes, but the "number" codes.

    Ex after installing sound card, the motherboard startup fails with the code 15.

    Hey everyone, i just turned on my computer and i have this blue screen saying:

    RECOVERY

    Your Pc needs to be repaired.

    "The boot configuration data for your Pc is missing or contains errors"

    File:\EFI\Microsoft\Boot\BCD

    Error code: 0x0000185

    It says i have to use recovery tools but i don't know what to do, i have windows 10....

    What do i do?
