Windows 10: recoverying bitlocker key when it wasnt available at set up

Apparently the bitlocker key was not set up and probably not available when I set up Office 365 Home in 2017. However, in rying to recover a hard drive that had water spilled, it is saying a bitlocker code is required. In following all noted actions, it appears it isnt avaiable, so it if was never available, is there another way to retrieve our information? AB

Lost bitlocker recovery key

I have lost my bitlocker recovery key and tried following the recovery steps. I have also searched and tried following the command prompts suggested but none have worked.
