Windows 10: Rectangle Icons

Hi I have a new Windows 11 computer. I used a program to make my taskbar smaller all was ok but a few days later my Taskbar icons have all changed to be rectangle see picture I have changed many ideas IE delete program taskbar , and been in the registry editor and changed the size of the icons and cant get anything to help me . I have asked Microsoft who had access to my computer and they could not find the problem.I know I can reset my computer but don't wish to do this , after spending a lot of hours to get my computer right.

WiFi icon showing weird rectangle

Hi Sushruta Bhattacharjee,

temporarily switch off the router and all the other wireless devices in the house, smartphones, tablets, Smart TVs, etc.
Just keep your pc turned on.
Do you still see the icon of that rectangle in the list of available Wi-Fi networks?

 

Rectangles instead of icons

Hi I am running Windows 10 Pro 22H2. For a week or so, SOME icons from the Settings window have been replaced by rectangles. See below. I tried to rebuild the icon cache. No luck. I tried to use SFC. No luck. I tried to use DISM. No luck. I don't know for sure where are located the icons for the SETTINGS window. Everybody on the Internet refers to the location for the icons for Explorer. Nothing about the icons for the Settings window. Any solution, please?

Thank you for your reply. I am 99% sure it is fonts related because I remember messing with the system fonts. But I am not sure, though, that all the icons showing as rectangles are part of the font Segoe UI Symbol. Can anyone tell me that? I installed the font Segoe UI Symbol that was missing but the icons are still shown as rectangles after restart.
