Windows 10: Recurring volmgr 161 Error - Need Help with Recent DMP Files

Hello everyone, two months ago my computer has crashed a few times. The behavior is always the same: it starts to lag, seeming to lose fps, and then completely freezes shortly after, restarting after about 30-40sec. I know Kernel Power is just the error caused by the shutdown, so investigating the event log further, I saw that at the same times, there was an Error 161 volmgr Error: volmgr, 161: Dump file creation failed due to error during dump creation. .I shared a DMP file on the forum at that time, and someone mentioned that the error was related to a video driver. I reinstalled the drive

after i disabled page files i have volmgr errors and i guess a short freeze or 2 to desktop. should i enable it again or the error will go away ?

 

BSOD with WHEA_Uncorrectable_Error and volmgr 161 error

Any forcible turn off cause this error. But it should not cause volmgr 161 error. So please analyze carefully these events.

Awesome! Hopefully that works and we take a big leap toward the answer *Smile - - - Updated - - - The results are in- just experienced the same BSOD. Was only using Chrome this time… DumpFiles folder I made and pointed it toward is still empty. No dmp file created as the BSOD continued to stay on 0%
