Windows 10: Recycle bin deleted during updates

Hello,After the last 2 updates from Microsoft, May and June 2022 my recycle bin was empty after the updates. Does anyone know if this is suppose to happen?Thanks for any help!

To prevent your files from being deleted from the Recycle Bin, we suggest increasing the maximum file size your Recycle Bin can keep by following the steps below:

• Right click on the Recycle Bin icon.
• Under the Settings for selected location, select Custom size.
• Fill up the box for your allotted maximum file size for your Recycle Bin.

Recycle Bin was deleted

Hi Raghav,

If we, by mistake, deleted the Recycle Bin icon on our desktop, we can still recover it.

Here are the steps to recover the Recycle Bin:

• Go to Start.
• Select Settings.
• Choose Personalization > Themes > Desktop icon settings.
• Check the box beside Recycle Bin, then press Apply.
• Hit the OK button.
