Windows 10: Recycle Bin icon blank and also missing context menu. Windows 10.

Hello everyone.I have Googled around and have not found any proper fix that will help me with my problem. I originally don't know what happened that caused my recycle bin icon to go blank. When I right-click on the icon, I get an error message stating "The properties for this item is not available". I can click on it to go to its folder, but the context menu on right-click is gone, along with the default icon that the recycle bin usually shows.I tried to do a system restore but it only goes so far back, and it didn't fix the problem.I have Windows 10 32-bit with the latest updates. Missing desktop icons and recycle bin

No problems on the current Windows 10 on three computers I have running dual screens. Desktop Icons only appear on the primary screen.

All icons including the Recycle Bin not showing. The Recycle Bin could be the cause.

There was a bug / glitch during the Insider Preview builds that would flash up a message saying the Recycle Bin was corrupted or missing.

It seems that the Recycle Bin attempts to build a list of recycled files on all the drives on the computer. If the recycled files id is out of sync, that caused the bin to fail.

Suggest:

Copy some files; then delete them; then reboot and see if the Recycle Bin appears.

 

Recycle bin missing from send-to Context menu

Hi Ozzie, I am Rob, a volunteer and a 10 time and dual award MVP specializing in Windows troubleshooting and Bluescreen analysis.

Microsoft for some unknown reason removed the Recycle Bin from the Context Menu though you can add it back in.

Change "Empty Recycle Bin" icon and text in context menu

Do you want to change the icon and the "Empty trash" option from the context menu?

To change the Recycle Bin icon do the following;

Press Windows key + i and access Personalization;

Click on Themes;

Scroll down and click on Desktop Icon Settings;

Select the Recycle Bin and click Change Icon;

Select an icon and click OK;

Regarding the "Empty Recycle Bin" context menu you can just add or remove it;
