Windows 10: Recycle bin should not delete items that have been deleted for over a month

Hello .I notice that recycle bin never delete permanently the files after a month or one day e.t.c I've noticed this for at least the last two years but this is the first time i'm asking for support.Βut it hadn't bothered me.The storage sence is enable and i test it with dedault option30 days , or after one day , e.t.c.Nothing happens .The files are still in recycle bin for months/years!!!

Deleting items in Recycle Bin

Deleting items in Recycle Bin

I deleted them directly from the Recycle Bin. I did what you suggested - clicking on Empty Recycle Bin - but it did not help. Any other suggestions? Thanks

 

Deleted Items Not Showing In Recycle Bin

On the desktop there is the recycle bin.

The following has just started to happen.

Before when I deleted something, the recycle bin showed that there was something in the bin.

Now when I delete something the recycle bin does NOT show that there is something in the bin.

I have to click on the recycle bin and OPEN it to see if anything is there.

Then I delete the items I want to.

Can anyone please help.
