Windows 10: Recycle bin will not make sound when emptying it.

I am running Windows 10 Home Version 21H2 OS build 19044.1806 on an HP pavilion 64bit. The sound when I empty the recycle bin has stopped working and nothing I try seems to work. In fact when you go to the sound control board none of the sounds will do a test sound. I have run troubleshooter and the only thing it finds wrong is Windows Generic driver. I am using realtec high definition speakers and have the newest drivers installed. I have even run SFC and it found absolutely nothing. Does anyone know a reason why I can't set the sound for the recycle bin?ThanksLeroy Hindman

"Empty recycle bin" missing from Sound menu

I want to enable the "empty recycle bin" sound for when I empty the trash bin but when I go to Sound in settings, and then Sounds, "Empty recycle bin" is not listed in the Program Events.

How do I add it?

Add Empty The Recyle Bin to right click on your desktop (Works with XP & Vista)


Just Copy the the text below to notepad and save the file .reg (tip.reg) click on the file and there ya go!

I don't get it. Isnt it as easy as just right clicking the recycle bin and pressing empty bin...?
