  1. RED DOT CRASH After 5-10 minuets of gameplay - have to hard reset

First post, hope my title was clear enough,
I was conflicted wither to post this in the gaming section or here, since I originally got bsod errors with ths problem I'll post them here

    PC Specs
    Attachment 97559

    CPU -Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50GH
    GPU - GTX 650 Ti
    Motherboard - H61M-DGS
    OS - windows 10

    - The game I was playing was injustice gods among us, I have uni stalled and reinstalled the game 3 times, lowered the settings, still get crash 5 - 10 minuets

    - I tried other games the same problem still occurs with the 5 - 10 minuet mar approx

    - this is on my second clean install - so I don't think it is a hardware problem,

Long story short, I use to get driver has failed error massages, when I play a game for 5 - 10 minuets

I Use a Dual monitor set up, 1 VGA and 1 HDMI threw the graphics card, changed the cable of the monitors same problem persists.

when i installed drivers i used clean install + download drivers from NVIDIA website, I tried using geforce experience to latest drivers still get same crash

So first I used the DDU method threw safe mode of uninstall and reinstalling the latest drivers, then windows update for other drivers

Next I Clean installed a previous driver, same massage appeared again, some times the PC would freeze up with red like patterns on screen.

did ddu method again, but this time updated graphics drivers threw windows update, and use them, same problem happened

At these phase I did these two steps interchangeable around about 5-6 times if i recall, now I seemingly don't get drivers failed, just a flash of red dots around the 5 - 10 minuet mark aprox, if am lucky only the game will stop and I can exit threw pressing start tab and using task manger to close game.

If am not PC freeze up - then it is a hard rest for me

    - At this point threw countless forum prowling I found that maybe its the temps,
so I used msi afterburner, fan control and under clocked my card , then played the game, same crash happens, did this quite abit to see if it was wrong settings, even put the fan to max while playing same crash happens within that specific

    10 - 5 minuet mark.

    I uninstalled msi after burner
And use Speed-fan to grab Pc temps.
I given examples of temps before and after I play game

Example of pc specs on BiOS

    Attachment 97556

    PC Voltage

    Attachment 97557

I change the fan settings from full On to automatic and back again, still get crashing.
    Attachment 97558

Hope I can get some insight into this problem.

    :)

  2. PC keeps Crashing even after Clean install

Even after a clean install I can run the game for 5 - 10 minuets then crash, sometimes red dots on screen sometimes even black, other times I have to hard reset after pc just freezes, currently am on a clean install and problem is still here.

Its not just this game, I get the same problem on others as well.

The BSOD I got after first crash was - Kmode exception not handled

    What I have tried

    -DDU method threw safe mode

    -Driver current/using previous drivers

    -BiOS update

-Updating Drivers to current, threw update as well as going into device manger and checking update on each one to makes sure (everything there...EVERYTHING)

-In check update threw windows 10 media creation kit

    -Check PC temps speedfan

-MSi after burner overclocking - using fan of gpu/ under clocking graphics card

-Furmark GPU stress test/test - which came out good, then after test, I get a crash

-Running game in different compatibility modes windows 8 as well as 7

    -Windows update

    -Clean install

    PC specs -

    OS: Windows 10

    CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50GHz

    Motherboard: H61M-DGS

    Memory: 8gb

Graphics Card: Gtx 650 ti 1gb

Here is my Ten forums post for even more in-depth info.

  3. PC keeps Crashing even after Clean install

Unfortunately the crash dose not produce a crash dump or BSOD, I have to hard reset

Although a bizarre phenomena has occurred, when I open dishounerd and play it for 2 minuets approx, I start to get flashing black screen/ flash or red dots, but now the game did not crash it kept on playing, this happen a further tow times each within a
    minuet interval of each other.

Its almost like the system was "fighting" to play the game and at the same to crash it.

I uploaded some footage of this, this seems to have become the norm now, somthing must be forcing drivers to crash but what...

RED DOT CRASH After 5-10 minuets of gameplay - have to hard reset

As there are no crash dump files to analyse it is difficult to find a cause. I did notice there is a more recent version of the BIOS you can try which might help. You do not appear to be overclocking and I would not have said your temperatures are excessive.

To test whether it is the game or your PC being stressed you can run the Furmark test and see if your system copes with the graphics stress test. Watch your temperatures as warned to in the guide and run for no more than about 30 minutes.

  5. I see, thank you for the reply

I'll get on the furmark, bullgaurd (anti-virus) must of cleared crash dumps threw a cleaning, my apologize.

I'll have to look in to updating bios

    I'll keep you updated

  6. I updated bios,

Played injustice for a solid 4 minuets screen went black, game just stopped working had to hit start tab + task manger and close it down.

Then I ran Furmark GPU stress test, no problems, the test itself was good, then a few seconds later I got red dots on screen, monitors turned off and had to hard reset.

When I turned on PC I got blue screen "Bad pool cleaner" I presume it made a dump, so this time you can have a better clue to the problem I hope, I proved another BSOD file

When I could get back into windows and sign in, I ran a GPU benchmark, it went well, after I got my score
    Attachment 97922
Screen flashed, then I got weird black bars on main monitor then red smaller dots on other

I will try to get a picture of this event the next time it happens

Unfortunately the crash dump file is empty. It appears from the eventlog that your display driver is repeatedly stopping and starting:

It wasn't clear to me from your first post whether both monitors are connected to your graphics card or if you are using the on board graphics for your VGA.

  8. RED DOT CRASH After 5-10 minuets of gameplay - have to hard reset

*UPDATE* - forgive me I did not read your reply properly, I plug my monitors into my graphics card not the on board.

My main monitor 1920 x 1080 is connected via HDMi
My second monitor 1366 x 768 is connected via VGA

Yes I have tried using only the hdmi to run the game(s) still get eventual crash, as well as with just the VGA monitor, still crashing

  9. I have done a clean install, ran Injustice gods among us for 40minuets then got a black screen, ran it again for 15 minuets then got a crash, thought the clean install would save me

    I was wrong.

The crash dump files are being saved now and they suggest it is the nvlddmkm.sys driver that is the issue.

Code: 0: kd> lmvm nvlddmkm Browse full module list start end module name fffff801`89aa0000 fffff801`8a7d5000 nvlddmkm T (no symbols) Loaded symbol image file: nvlddmkm.sys Image path: \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\nvlddmkm.sys Image name: nvlddmkm.sys Browse all global symbols functions data Timestamp: Fri Jun 03 04:11:28 2016 (5750F560) CheckSum: 00CF8FCD ImageSize: 00D35000 Translations: 0000.04b0 0000.04e4 0409.04b0 0409.04e4[/quote] Was this the driver that W10 installed or have you done a driver update from nvidea? If so, you could try to update to the latest nvidea driver (ver 372.54) and install just the driver and PhysX rather than the full Geforce experience, also check the clean installation mode when installing.

RED DOT CRASH After 5-10 minuets of gameplay - have to hard reset

Have you tried re-seating the graphics card and checking all your cables are good with firm connections? What size is your power supply? Does it have enough power to supply motherboard and graphics card and all attached drives and any USB devices?
