Windows 10: Red X on Bluetooth Network Connection

I have scoured the internet for an answer to no avail.


For a while now, my Bluetooth Network occasionally refused to identify devices. A simple, although pain in the butt from time to time, solution was to reboot. Sometimes it would require 2 or 3 reboots before the adapter would wake up and recognize bluetooth devices.


Other problems began to flare up including overheating, so I recently reinstalled Windows 10. Now, the Bluetooth refuses to operate. There is a red X over the Bluetooth Network Connection icon.


YES, it is enabled. YES, it is the most current driver. YES, I have followed every official Microsoft solution and a bunch of other solutions, most of which are either speaking about wifi, in particular, but also suggest the same ideas work for any network connection.


Nothing has worked.

It's an issue that can occur depending on several factors, but I'd try the steps outlined here first: Windows shows
red “X” on network icon, but I'm connected

 

Bluetooth shows red X under network connections but is connected ?

Not sure how to fix this under network connections it shows Bluetooth not connected but my wife's fit-bit which uses Bluetooth is connected ????????????? after a few hours goes by then it disconnects and I have to restart Bluetooth to get it back ? not
sure why the red X is there if Bluetooth is connected ? anyone have any ideas ??????????? thanks.

 

Ethernet shows red X and does not appear in settings, but still works


Not sure why this is happening. I have working ethernet and am connected, it works fine. But the taskbar icon shows a red X over it, and the tooltip says "Not Connected - No connections are available". Looking in "Network & Internet", ethernet is not even listed there. And before anyone suggests wireless interference .. this PC does not have a wireless card or integrated wireless.
