  2. McAfee reports Microsoft Edge is unsecure

Microsoft will probably enable extensions in Edge with the next version of Windows 10, which is due in July around the time the Get Windows 10 program ends on July 28th. It will be Version 1607 (the Redstone 1 release) if it is on time.

  3. Update --- staggered or incomplete?

There are no parts of the Fall Update remaining to be flighted to users. The Fall Update is what it is.

There are many promised features not in the Fall Update because it is not a feature-oriented upgrade. It is more of a set of fixes to the July 29 release. Consequently, the Fall Update is not exciting except to those wanting a number of specific things
fixed. Microsoft does not release changelogs now and the summaries in the Microsoft Blogs are very general. There are new features, but most of the new work on Cortana and Edge are projected for the Redstone project that is now beginning.

The Fall Update ended the Threshold phase. A lot of work on new features for Edge are planned for Redstone, including extensions. Redstone is the phase where new, user-visible features will be the focus and Insiders will be getting builds every few weeks
to test and comment on, so there will be a lot of discussion in the Insider Forum.

Redstone is planned for general availability in July.

What I suggest you do is ask a couple of new questions in the forum relating very specifically to the features you are looking for. A title like "How do I cast media in Edge?" should get a fast, specific reply. So should "How do I write
a Reminder note with a stylus in Cortana?" Combining issues in the same post does not work as well.

Go for it that should make Edge climb right up there with the other Browsers and hopefully the ones who don't like it at the moment will start trying it

I'm glad extensions are coming to Edge and I do use it when I'm on the Insider build. I still don't see me ever using Edge as my main browser.

  10. I mean, it's great for Microsoft to finally add extensions to their browser after most others browsers have had them for years, but there's still no reason for anyone to change browsers because of this. I'm pretty sure Chrome/Firefox/Opera users are more than happy with the host of extensions they already have.

Once Edge allows extensions I would certainly take a hard look at it. I currently use ie11 and have had no real problems. I only use Chrome occasionally.*Think
